Gratitude Journal Day 120

Today I am grateful for…

  1. making some serious progress on my internship project.
  2. not having to share. I’m not very good at sharing…
  3. making it to Farmer’s Market. It’s my new Thursday night ritual.
  4. my friend, Katie letting me talk her ear off and vent. I needed that.
  5. self control. It helps me avoid regret.
  6. one of the only Thursday nights of the quarter I’ll be able to spend away from the CPTV studio.
  7. getting caught up on all my favorite TV shows. Oh, Grey’s, how I’ve missed you!

Gratitude Journal Day 78

Today I am grateful for…

  1. free stuff. I went to the Mustang Daily Housing Fair today, and there were SO many freebies.
  2. caramel apples… a.k.a. my favorite thing in the entire world.
  3. my friend, Katie, who brought me the caramel/candy apples. She’s the best.
  4. Beyonce. Her music always puts me in a dancing mood.
  5. getting done with my work for CPTV before midnight. I think it’s a new record.
  6. my roommate, Jenni. She always lets me vent at the end of a long day.
  7. watching Girls and Grey’s Anatomy until all hours of the night with my roommate until we both eventually passed out on the couch.

Today I am grateful for…

  1. my roommate for giving me a scantron when I was running late to my midterm.
  2. my friend, who said I inspired him to start a new blog.
  3. getting a lot of my filming for CPTV done early in the week.
  4. getting homework done more than 24 hours before it’s due… it might be a new record.
  5. getting to write s LOT at KSBY tonight.
  6. Thrift Shop coming on the radio on my way home. Definitely had a dance party in my car… again.

Gratitude Journal Day 51

Today I am grateful for…

  1. trying out a new method for curling my hair and it working!
  2. anchoring on Cal Poly Television this morning. There’s nothing else like it!
  3. finally having the courage to change my on-air name to Olivia DeGennaro (my mom’s maiden name). It’s taken me a long time to commit, but I debuted it when I anchored this morning!
  4. the Assignment Editor at KNTV in the Bay Area (and my co-anchor, Ed Zuchelli‘s dad) coming to visit the CPTV studio this morning. Not only did I get to introduce myself to him, but he actually knew my name!
  5. some great advice about our newscast from visiting KSBY employees.
  6. a great chat with my professor, Patti Piburn. Love her!
  7. my best friend stopping through SLO for an hour on her way down to LA! Even though I only got to see her for a few minutes, they were the best minutes of my entire week!
  8. catching up with all of my weekly TV shows and falling asleep early after a crazy week!

What are you grateful for today?

Gratitude Journal Day 49

Today I am grateful for…

  1. having some “me” time this morning. With a crazy busy week, I needed some time to myself.
  2. avoiding the FOUR car accidents I almost got into today. There were some crazy drivers on the road.
  3. the people in CPTV who are willing to step up and help out.
  4. my first time coming in for my internship during the day. I got to meet more people who work at the KSBY station.
  5. my friend, Madison, interning at the same time as me. This is her second quarter, so she showed me the ropes. And it was nice to know someone my first time coming in during the day.
  6. the employees at KSBY who were so nice and welcoming to me.
  7. watching Dave Hovde do his live shot. Talk about a live shot master!
  8. starting to learn to use Velocity editing software. Woo!
  9. my mom. She always lends words of encouragement when I’m stressed out.
  10. my grandma. She’s cleaning out her closet and finding plenty of vintage clothing to send me.
  11. getting through today. It wasn’t an easy one.
