Gratitude Journal Day 121

Today I am grateful for…

  1. taking the next step towards an exciting new opportunity in journalism.
  2. getting great deals on my textbooks so far.
  3. understanding and kind people.
  4. a (rare) relaxing morning in CPTV.
  5. applying for scholarships. I’m sure my mom is more thankful for that than I am…
  6. realizing how much I’ve accomplished while filling out scholarship applications.
  7. my ability to pull essays out of thin air. Short narrative? No problem.
  8. painlessly surviving the first week of Spring quarter.

Today I am grateful for…

  1. making some serious progress on my internship project.
  2. not having to share. I’m not very good at sharing…
  3. making it to Farmer’s Market. It’s my new Thursday night ritual.
  4. my friend, Katie letting me talk her ear off and vent. I needed that.
  5. self control. It helps me avoid regret.
  6. one of the only Thursday nights of the quarter I’ll be able to spend away from the CPTV studio.
  7. getting caught up on all my favorite TV shows. Oh, Grey’s, how I’ve missed you!

Gratitude Journal Day 99

Today I am grateful for…

  1. 99 days of gratitude journaling. I can’t believe I’m entering triple digits tomorrow!
  2. absolutely gorgeous weather… again.
  3. sheer luck. I turned in a half-ass homework assignment in Statistics and the professor gave everyone full credit. And the quiz he gave us was incredibly easy.
  4. an inspiring Quote of the Day from Rachel Zoe.
  5. taking a little break and heading to Farmer’s Market for a bit.
  6. Kettle corn… yummy!
  7. a very entertaining and open conversation with my broadcast peeps.
  8. making Shania Twain music videos when we were supposed to be editing in CPTV.

  1. doing a job I don’t normally do in the CPTV studio. I love getting a well-rounded newsroom experience.
  2. great feedback on the story I worked so hard on this week. What do you think?
  3. Richard Gearhart. He’s a news anchor by morning, and a great academic adviser by afternoon.
  4. Thin Mints. I finished off our last box today. I’m also thankful it was our last box, because those babies are addicting.
  5. a much-needed lazy afternoon.
  6. honesty and communication. Sometimes what needs to be said isn’t so easy to say.
