Gratitude Journal Day 103

Today I am grateful for… 6 months of blogging! I started this little blog of mine on my birthday exactly 6 months ago. which also means it’s my half birthday! And my mommy texted me wishing me a Happy Half … Continue reading

Gratitude Journal Day 62

Today I am grateful for…

  1. a quick coffee date with my best friend on her birthday.
  2. a (surprisingly) great lecture in my Statistics class. I’m always more interested whenever height and weight percentiles come up because it makes me reminisce my baby-doll-sized childhood. I think I was in the 2nd percentile or something tiny like that.
  3. my second ceramics class of the quarter. I definitely made improvement today and I think I’m starting to get the hang of it. I was pretty proud of the cereal bowl I threw.
  4. my Genetics professor. He always makes his lectures so interesting.
  5. great ideas from everyone at our Honors Student Board meeting tonight. I think we have some great potential to reinvent the club for the better.
  6. National Pancake Day… aka free breakfast for dinner… aka the best day of 2013 so far. Thank you, IHOP!
  7. enlightening conversation. Someone very wise once told me to question everything.
  8. another night full of script writing at KSBY.
  9. really good music on the radio on my way home from my internship. There’s nothing like being the only one on the 101 at 2:00 a.m. and cranking up a little Taylor Swift/Dubstep-ness.

What are you grateful for today?

Gratitude Journal Day 8

Today I am grateful for:

  1. my second mom/dance teacher, Terri. I saw her today for the first time in months and we had a wonderful talk. I’ve missed that woman like crazy!
  2. trying new things. I had a Squeeze Inn burger for the first time today. So. much. cheese.
  3. my first mom (aka my actual mom). Today is her birthday! (12/12/12… so cool!) Happy Birthday, Mommy! I love you so much.
  4. jam sessions at the house I’m staying in. While its hard to hold any type of conversation over the 50/60-something-year-old-men rocking out, they play some funny songs. At one point, they started making up a song about “taking a leak,” which reminded me to stop taking life so seriously. They also played “Old Time Rock & Roll,” which brought up some great memories from the Rock & Roll Show at Twin Lakes Elementary school. So thanks, guys.
  5. my dad, for dealing with my female hormones even when he doesn’t understand them.
  6. and last but definitely not least… I’m going to New York City for the first time EVER in the morning! I’ve wanted to go to New York my entire life and my amazing dad surprised me with a trip! I’m soooo excited and I can’t wait to blog lots of pictures! I have a feeling that my gratitude journals over the next five days are going to be a little bit longer. If you have any tips, suggestions, or must-see locations during my trip, please comment below! (I’m there until Tuesday, the 18th)
